You may be familiar with our core catalog of fittings and strainers fabricated with true Genuine Bauer quick-connect fittings. What you may not know is that many of our Wolf Creek fittings came about by listening to our customers and developing custom solutions that end up becoming part of our regular product line.
Here’s a look at some of these recent projects:
Hunnebucket Inline Strainers: Now Available in 10-inches
Our Hunnebucket inline strainers were originally developed as a custom solution for a customer looking to clean out solid debris above ground and keep it from damaging their pumps. Unlike some other screen strainers which require time and effort to clean, we designed our Hunnebuckets with a notched lid that makes it easy to empty the basket. Our Hunnebuckets also have a top-facing viewport that makes it easy to check for debris — no more guessing if the basket is full or not!
They’ve become so popular that, over the years, that we’ve added new sizes of Hunnebuckets to fit different project requirements. For example, based on customer feedback, we now make a four-inch Hunnebucket basket strainer for smaller-volume sanitary sewer bypass jobs,
Most recently, we’ve added a 10-inch Hunnebucket to our product line-up. Our customers have found that 10-inch Hunnebuckets fit well in tight spaces, such as manholes. In fact, two 10-inch pumps can fit in a single manhole, enabling customers to maximize their space and increase the volume of fluid they can move at one time. We now offer the Hunnebucket in 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12-inch sizes!
Heavy-Duty Bar Strainers: Built to Last
Another custom request now available to all customers is our heavy-duty bar strainers, designed to stand up to rough job site conditions. Stronger and more durable than previous models, these bar strainers are a great choice for tough sewer bypass projects and construction jobs. We offer these bar strainers in several different sizes and ball and socket configurations, so our customers can choose the solution that works best for them.
Enlargers and Reducers: Custom Sizes Turned into Stock Products
When we see that a custom solution is helping a lot of customers, we find a way to produce it more efficiently and make it a regular part of our inventory. That’s the case with several of our enlarger and reducer fittings, which make it possible to up or downsize suction or discharge lines for a pump.
One of these unique solutions is our 12-inch flange to 8-inch ball fitting. We learned that many of our customers along the Gulf Coast use 12-inch pumps with 8-inch pipe and fittings. When we saw this fitting was helping a lot of customers, we found a way to produce it more efficiently and make it a regular part of our inventory.
