With one of the largest inventories of PolyBarb HDPE pipe in North America, Wolf Creek Portable Piping knows what it takes to manufacture durable and dependable solutions for the most rigorous jobs.
High-density polyethylene, or HDPE, is known for its extraordinary strength and longevity. It’s not hard to see why HDPE piping has become a popular choice in recent years for demanding portable piping applications such as sanitary sewer bypass and infrastructure work.
But while HDPE has proven to be a reliable material, not all poly products are designed alike. Learn what sets Wolf Creek’s HDPE pipe and fittings apart:
Pressed & Crimped for a Leak-Proof Connection
Safety is of the utmost importance in any portable piping system, whether for suction or discharge applications. A major leak can cause costly damage and delays, not to mention risk to your safety record and reputation.
Only at Wolf Creek will you find proven products that combine the unmatched quality and reliability of True Genuine Bauer couplers with the outstanding strength and durability of HDPE pipe.
Our patented process (Patent # US 7,025,390 B2) hydraulically presses a patented shank that we’ve machined specifically to grab the walls of the HDPE pipe. The barb and retainer fitting creates a positive high-pressure, leak-proof connection you can count on time after time. The same can’t be said for other inferior poly products!
Flexible and Fit for Your Application
Wolf Creek offers SDR-17 HDPE pipes in standard 4-, 6-, and 8-inch sizes with industry-leading Genuine Bauer quick couplers, which can be used for both suction and discharge applications.
We also carry SDR-26 HDPE pipe, which is only for discharge use due to its lower PSI rating. If you need a larger size, we have 12-inch HDPE pipes available with A-type fittings.
The flexible construction of our HDPE piping allows it to bend easily over uneven terrain and long distances. This lessens the complexity of job site set-up and tear-down, providing greater value for your pipe investment.
Fusible in the Field
Did you know that Wolf Creek’s PolyBarb couplers mounted on a HDPE “tail” can even be fused onto pipe in the field?
Because our PolyBarb tails are less costly to ship than complete pipe, many of our customers choose to use an on-site HDPE fuser to build their own poly fittings or step bows in any combination they need, whether ball or socket.
Our PolyBarb tails are stocked with SDR-17 and SDR-26 HDPE (8” only) tails. To make a complete set, purchase a male and female coupler with a sealing ring.
